All signs point to 2007 being a record growth year for IMC HealthCare, especially if it continues to open new client on-site health centers at its current pace.
With seven new on-site health centers opened during the first quarter of 2007 and a total of more than 20 planned by year’s end, IMC could potentially more than double the highest number of new facilities it has opened in a single year. Companies like Albany International, Cadbury Schweppes, Publix, and Cingular Wireless have all chosen IMC to operate their new clinics so far this year.
“As companies seek creative ways to manage rising healthcare costs, many are finding that investing in on-site healthcare for their employees is a prudent investment,” said Todd Keller, president and CEO. “When you consider that a healthier workforce is a happier, more productive workforce, it’s easy to understand why promoting good health at the office is a wise business decision.”
Typically, the normal process for opening a new on-site health center -- from negotiating with and signing a new client company to designing and staffing the facility – takes from 6-12 months. So far this year, the pipeline of new facilities in various stages of negotiation and development has remained full – a positive sign for IMC’s future business outlook. Even more promising is the fact the an increasing number of these new business opportunities are focusing on full-service facilities offering expanded on-site health services, including more proactive preventative/wellness programs. This is particularly exciting as traditionally on-site health centers have limited staffs and are focused primarily on basic occupational care services. But that’s changing in many companies.
IMC’s public visibility is increasing as well as its new business opportunities. Since the first of the year, media coverage of the company has included feature articles or references in such publications as the New York Times, HR Executive, Business Insurance, Florida Trend and the Jacksonville Business Journal. The company continues to be aggressive in its promotional efforts as it further positions itself as one of the industry leaders in the on-site healthcare industry.
