Background

It is our privilege to partner with Publix Supermarkets in the delivery of on-site occupational health care for their associates at their newly created Associate Occupational Health Center at the corporate headquarters in Lakeland, Florida.

Job Summary

• Provide occupational health and some urgent care to the associates of Publix in collaboration with the supervising medical director.
• Evaluate, diagnose and treat employee injuries and illnesses and determine appropriate medical direction including off-site referrals/diagnostic testing.
• Conduct case management to ensure appropriate, prompt care and safe return to work for injured employees engaging client supervision and management in regards to associate work status.
• Conduct appropriate surveillance testing and drug screening sample collection.
• Evaluate and coordinate ergonomic evaluation as appropriate for the work environment.
• Participate in client safety meetings as appropriate.
• Analyze injury trends and work with safety representatives to enhance injury prevention.
• Represent IMC HealthCare to the client ensuring exceptional customer service.
• Manage the overall function of the health center including the management of any assigned staff.

Requirements

• Minimum of BS degree in Nursing /Physician Assistant with a current and unrestricted FL ARNP / PA license.
• 2+ years experience as an occupational health, urgent care, or emergency medicine.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills, tact and flexibility .
• Knowledge of FL Worker’s Compensation laws preferred.
• Familiarity with disability/case management, FMLA, ADA and HIPAA preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA record keeping requirements and Occupational Health Programs preferred.
