Nurses help employees seek the most appropriate level of care and often make follow-up calls to check on the employee’s condition.
Ask May Clinic also includes a special Tobacco Quitline and Lifestyle Coaching Programs. Based on an employee’s health-risk assessment, Mayo Clinic lifestyle coaches consult with employees via telephone to help them follow programs in any of five areas: weight control, nutrition, smoking cessation, stress management and exercise. This person-to-person coaching is typically carried out over a period of months, as employees make progress in improving their health and lifestyles.
