IMC TO OPERATE PUBLIX’S NEW CORPORATE ON-SITE
ASSOCIATES HEALTH SERVICES CENTER
We are pleased to announce that IMC HealthCare has been selected to operate the new on-site associates’ health services center at Publix Super Markets’ corporate headquarters in Lakeland, Florida. Scheduled to open in the third quarter of this year, the new health center will provide occupational health and wellness services for the facility’s 4,000 associates.
The new associate health services center will operate 80 hours a week and will be staffed by a physician, a mid-level practitioner (nurse practitioner or physician assistant), an x-ray technician and paramedics to provide quality health and wellness services. It will provide urgent care for occupational injuries, while also offering occupational health screening services including preventive examinations, hearing tests, respirator evaluations, DOT physicals, drug testing, x-ray and lab services for Publix’s associates.

This is Publix’s second on-site health services center. The first one opened in Deerfield Beach, Florida in 2004 and was a huge success.
