Ismael Caicedo graduated with the degree of doctor in medicine from University del Valle in Cali, Colombia. He pursued his master’s degree in Public Health (MPH) at the University of South Carolina and completed his internship at the Pan-American Health Organization (WHO) in Washington, DC.
Ismael combined his health administration work with his clinical practice while living in Cali, Colombia. He has worked in the Healthcare industry in the USA for 20 years. He has held several positions in the United States. He started as ship’s doctor in one of the Florida Cruise lines, and a couple of years later joined HS1, Medical Management, a Florida based company as Director of Population management in HS1 Medical management, this company is dedicated to coordinate medical services for Florida Medicaid patients. He worked as HEDIS manager at CAC Florida Medical Centers and in Care-Plus health plans as Director of Quality/Stars.
Before Ismael joined IMC Health in 2018, He held the position of Sr. Director of quality at United Health Care Medicaid. In IMC, He had worked with Health plans in the 3 LOBs, IMC clinical as well as administrative leaders and staff to ensure IMC Health provides high quality of services and care.
