IMC Health and Hispanic Star Miami Partner To Deliver More Than 20,000 Packages of Basic Necessities To Vulnerable Members of the Community
What: IMC Health Medical Centers and Hispanic Star Miami have partnered in a community initiative to distribute care packages filled with basic necessities such as diapers, feminine products, toiletries and laundry detergent to the most vulnerable members of the South Florida community. The organizations received 48 palettes of donated personal hygiene items from consumer products giant P&G and snacks and refreshments from PepsiCo, which are being packaged on July 16 for distribution to 20,000 families; including essential farm worker families in Homestead and low-income Medicaid and Medicare members of IMC Health across South Florida.

Veira, who initiated and is leading this project and IMC Health's corporate social responsibility initiatives, and the 25 IMC Health, Hispanic Star and community volunteers doing the packaging.
