MIAMI, FL – Dec. 8, 2020 – We are pleased to announce IMC Health Medical Centers has received Gold status certificates in Blood Pressure Control and Diabetes Management from the American Medical Association (AMA) and American Heart Association (AHA). We have earned this status by achieving blood pressure control in over 70 percent of our patients and diabetes control in over 75 percent of our patients by improving quality of care through awareness, detection, and management of type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease risk factors.

IMC Health is one of only six medical centers in the state of Florida to have achieved the Gold status certificate for Diabetes Management. The initiatives are aimed at helping health care providers improve blood pressure and diabetes control in the communities they serve. The AMA and AHA indicate that this achievement ultimately leads to a reduction in the number of patients who suffer heart attacks and strokes.
