|MIAMI, FL – Dec. 8, 2020 – We are pleased to announce IMC Health Medical Centers has received Gold status certificates in Blood Pressure Control and Diabetes Management from the American Medical Association (AMA) and American Heart Association (AHA). We have earned this status by achieving blood pressure control in over 70 percent of our patients and diabetes control in over 75 percent of our patients by improving quality of care through awareness, detection, and management of type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease risk factors.

IMC Health and Hispanic Star Miami Partner To Deliver More Than 20,000 Packages of Basic Necessities To Vulnerable Members of the Community
|IMC Health Medical Centers and Hispanic Star Miami have partnered in a community initiative to distribute care packages filled with basic necessities such as diapers, feminine products, toiletries and laundry detergent to the most vulnerable members of the South Florida community.
|IMC Health Medical Centers has created a calling service, called TeleAmigos, to check in on elderly members and provide them with an opportunity to talk to IMC Health staff on a regular basis about everything from healthcare needs and questions to more social topics relating to friends and family.
|IMC Health Medical Centers has launched biweekly, bilingual Facebook Live events to help seniors stay informed and connected amidst Covid-19. Named “La Ventanita” (the little window), after the restaurant-café windows notorious throughout South Florida as a place where people go to drink cafecito and chat with others. The events also offer a place for seniors to stave off isolation and have fun connecting with their peers, physicians and guest speakers.
