Vice President of Center Operations
Born in Havana Cuba, Mr. Lopez immigrated to the United States at the age of 10 with his parents in the 1980 Mariel Boatlift. He obtained a Bachelor of Health Care Administration degree from Barry University, as well as, a Master’s in Public Administration. It is important for him to give back to his community by volunteering in various local fundraising for cancer and other community based-programs. He is a long-standing member of the Miami Dade County League of Cities. This organization meets monthly with Commissioners, City Mayors, state representatives and State Senators to discuss major initiatives being done in the county and state that affects our communities. Mr. Lopez’s career spans over twenty-one years in Healthcare. He began his career with CAC-Florida Medical Centers and continued his career with Humana, working for them for the last 16 years where he was a part of the Care Delivery Organization. The many roles he held within the organization ranged from Regional Administrator, to MSO Director and Market Director; he believed these roles have given him an excellent insight into the many intricacies of running a major health care delivery organization. He was focused on the day-to-day operational management of the center’s growth, remodeling, transportation, therapy department, Access, wellness and de novo facilities.
Mr. Lopez has also supervised 56 private practices under Management Service Organization (MSO) in the State of Florida. Where he oversaw membership growth and significant increases in MRA and HEDIS scores, surpassing goals. Within the Care Delivery Organization, Mr. Lopez was exposed to a better understanding in center management and learned how to serve the diverse patient base we have in South and Central Florida.
At IMC Health, Mr. Lopez oversees our clinics and there day to day operations for our centers in South Florida.
