As Chief Marketing Officer, Mr. Monzon leads IMC’s solution development and strategic marketing initiatives, including enterprise marketing, industry marketing, lead generation and customer and brand experience. A veteran business and marketing executive, he has developed key community partnerships as part of his health solutions strategy.
As former Director of Medicare Marketing and Provider Engagement at Florida Blue, Mr. Monzon lead the execution of state-wide marketing initiatives and sales channel support to include Provider Engagement, Community outreach, and membership growth initiatives. Prior to his promotion, he served several key roles in the South Florida market including Center Director for Miami Retail, oversight of the CliniSanitas relationships, and supported implementation of the Retail 2.0 project. He also partnered with South Florida Local Presence to develop and maintain key relationships which included service on the boards of YMCA South Dade (Finance Chair and the Jewish Community Center).
Before joining Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida in 2013, Mr. Monzon was the co-founder and Chief Marketing Officer for the Pulmonary Center, an organization focusing on early detection of COPD. While there, he oversaw business development, marketing initiatives and branding. The company’s key deliverable was to provide COPD testing to health-plans focusing on improving their HEDIS/STAR measures.
A native of Miami, Florida Mr. Monzon has spent over 18 years in the healthcare industry. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from Nova Southeastern University and a State of Florida Life, Health & Annuities Insurance License. He is also co-chair of the West Kendall Baptist Hospital Advisory Board.
