The Receptionist must be bi-lingual in English and Spanish and is responsible for providing outstanding customer service and scheduling patients medical appointments.
Position Hours: Monday through Friday 8am-5pm
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Answers incoming calls in a courteous & professional manner
- Schedules appointments by telephone and confirm all patient appointments on schedule including transportation
- Screens incoming calls and routes accordingly
- Receives and conveys messages electronically, in writing and verbally
- Schedule appointments according to office scheduling policies
- Interact effectively with staff and patients in order to maintain a professional working environment
- Participates in staff & educational meetings
- Maintain a cheerful, positive and respectful attitude
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications/Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of 1-year experience in the medical setting or call center
- Must have the ability to learn and practice office procedures, policies and protocols
- Required to have a command of the English and Spanish language and be proficient with grammar, spelling and verbal skills to communicate with patients, providers and staff in written and oral communication
- Must be proficient be proficient in Microsoft Office and knowledge with computers, scanners, etc.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
